How To Make red velvet cake
-
1In a medium bowl, sift together flour and baking soda. Set aside. In mixer, combine sugar, oil, lightly beaten eggs, vinegar and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Gradually add flour mixture and mix on low speed just until the flour has been incorporated. Slowly add buttermilk. Add food coloring to mix and mix until coloring is evenly distributed. Grease and flour 3 9-inch pans and divide batter evenly between three pans and bake in 325 oven for 17 minutes. (My mom said 28 minutes at 350 but that was to much for my gas oven) It was perfect my way!!!
