1 cbuttermilk

1/3 tspsalt

2 1/2 cflour

2 tspbaking soda

1/2 ccocoa

1 tspvanilla

1 cboiling water
How To Make red devil's food cake

1Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat.

2Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

3Add alternately with the buttermilk.

4Add water and vanilla last.

5Bake in a prepared 13x9 pan at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. Can also be made in layers or in a tube pan.
