Ingredients For orange butter frosting

  • 1/4 c
    butter or margarine
  • pinch
    salt
  • 2 1/4 c
    confectioners sugar ( powdered sugar)
  • 2 - 3 Tbsp
    cream or milk,
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange grated rind
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice

How To Make orange butter frosting

  • 1
    Soften butter but don't melt. Add salt and with a mixer beat at high speed, until fluff and creamy. Add orange rind, orange juice and lemon juice.

    Gradually stir in about 1/3 of the confectioners sugar until well mixed, add remaing sugar and cream alternately while stirring or beating until very smooth. add vanilla, mix well and spread on cake. You can alway's add more powdered sugar or cream until you get the right consistency to frost.
