1 cshortening or butter

2 1/2 cflour

1/2 cwater

1 tspeach cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg

1 tspsoda

1/2 tspsalt

1 cnuts (optional)

2 cfresh apples, chopped fine or grated

1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make fresh apple cake

1Mix flour, salt and spices. Cream sugar and shortening. Beat eggs, add to creamed mixture; beat for 1 minute.

2Mix soda with water. Add dry ingredients alternately with apples and water/soda mixture. Add vanilla. Add nuts if desired.

3Pour into well greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes to 1 hour until done.
