Ingredients For fool proof white cake

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/3 c
    cold water
  • 1/2 c
    butter (not margarine)-softened
  • 4
    egg whites-beaten
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***

How To Make fool proof white cake

  • 1
    Cream sugar and butter using an electric mixer. Alternate adding a little flour than water thoroughly mixing each time. Fold in the beaten egg whites, salt and vanilla. Add baking powder last. Cook in 3 round cake pans at 350* for 30-35 minutes or until cake tests done using a tooth pick. Cool completely on a cooling rack before icing cake.
