What better way for me to Share a Happy Valentine's Day with all of You as You sink your teeth into this Yummy Trifle! Chocolate and Cherries and Love!!! NOTE: *** Prep time does NOT include Chill time!!!

Ingredients For fireman bob's valentine's trifle just for you

  • FOR THE CAKE...
  • 1 3/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 c
    maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 c
    maraschino juice
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1/2 lg
    hersey's chocolate bar, chopped fine ( your choice of " nuts " bar if so desired )
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract, don't skimp on quality!!!
  • 2/3 c
    sour cream
  • FOR THE TRIFLE PUDDING...
  • 1 can
    (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c
    cold water
  • 1 pkg
    (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 c
    heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 2 c
    fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 c
    fresh raspberries
  • 2 c
    blueberries, chopped
  • 2 c
    walnuts, chopped

How To Make fireman bob's valentine's trifle just for you

    *** Directions for the Cake Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

    Put all the cake ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, cayenne pepper, cocoa, butter, chopped chocolate, eggs, maraschino cherries, maraschino juice, vanilla, and sour cream into a Large bowl, beat mixture until you have a smooth, thick batter.

    Pour batter into a 9" by 13" cake pan and bake until a cake is finished baking, ( tooth pick comes out clean ) which should be about 35 to 40 minutes, start checking at 25 minutes.

    Place on a wire rack and let cool for 20 minutes before removing from pan.

    Break cake into bite sized pieces and set a side.

    *** Directions for the Pudding

    In a large bowl, whisk the milk, water and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Let stand for two minutes or until soft-set,add walnuts. Fold in the whipped cream.

    To assemble, spread pudding mixture evenly in a 4-qt. glass bowl. Place cake pieces on top of pudding evenly.

    Arrange the berries evenly over the cake layer.

    Repeat pudding and cake layers to the top leaving room for the topping.

    Top with remaining pudding mixture. Spoon remaining fruit on top.

    Cover and refrigerate until serving.
