I've been on a chocolate fix for awhile. I'm sure you can guess that by the posted recipes, lol. Here's one I love for anytime, breakfast, snack, etc.

Ingredients For dark chocolate muffins

  • 1-1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    light brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 c
    fat-free milk
  • 3/4 c
    unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 2 tsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3/4 c
    dark chocolate chips

How To Make dark chocolate muffins

    Heat oven to 350. Spray 18 muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, combine flours, sugars, cocoa powder and baking soda. Make a well in center of mix.

    In another bowl, mix together milk, applesauce, oil, molasses, vinegar and vanilla. Add to flour mix. Stir until combined.

    Stir in 1/2 the chocolate chips. Fill muffin cups just over 1/2 full. Sprinkle w/ remaining chocolate chips. Bake 15 mins.
