Talk about taking a quick boxed bread mix and totally changing it up. I was making a boxed cinnamon swirl bread and totally changed it in honor of National pumpkin day and pretzel day!! It made a wonderful different recipe. I love sweet and salty, this was awesome. Hope You give it a try. ENJOY!!

Ingredients For pumpkin cinnamon swirl bread w/crunchy pretzel top

  • 1 box
    cinnamon swirl bread mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    canned pumpkin pie mix
  • 3/4 c
    greek yogurt
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    pumpkin pie spices
  • 1/8-1/4 c
    crushed pretzels

How To Make pumpkin cinnamon swirl bread w/crunchy pretzel top

    Preheat oven to 375. Spray bottom of pan with cooking spray. I like the buttered one. Throw out the directions, things are about to change.

    Take Ingredients out of box and separate packages. Take Your pretzels and chop in processor or mini chopper til fine. Take small cinnamon pack separate evenly and mix half with crushed pretzels and set aside.

    Take other package and mix bread mix package with Your pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, water and yogurt with hand mixer on low for a minute. Pour 1/2 of batter in greased loaf pan, then the half of cinnamon mix on top. Add rest of batter and top with remaining cinnamin pretzel mix. Bake till toothpick in center comes out clean. 50-60min. Check at 40min Mine was done early. Dont know if it was the yogurt. Better to be safe then sorry ;) Let cool, remove from pan and ENJOY!!! Great for breakfast or brunch tables. I enjoy for My sweet and salty craving at night ;) You can make a glaze topping but this bread is so moist using the yogurt that the crunchy topping makes it!
