Ingredients For chocolate black forest waffle, or cake

  • WAFFLES MADE WITH CHOCOLATE,
  • 2 c
    bisquick mix
  • 1 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c
    hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    cooking oil ( vegetable)
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1 can
    cherrie pie filling or (2) is optional
  • WHIPPED CREAM;
  • 1 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • CHOCOLATE TOPPING;
  • 1/2 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 6 oz
    semi sweet, chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate black forest waffle, or cake

    Useing your Normal Waffle iron Preheat Iron. in LG Bowl, Whisk together first (6) ingredients, Just until smooth.

    Lightly Spray with cooking spray, top and Bottom grid of your waffle iron. Ladle 1/2 cup batter into the center of your iron. Close lid & cook until done according to waffle iron directions, or when no longer Steaming. Carefully Remove waffle FROM the Iron & set aside. REPEAT until you have used all the Batter. . . Let Waffles Cook Completely.

    In another large Bowl, or Bowl of your Stand Mixer, Whisk together Heavy Cream & sugar until this forms High Peaks, about 5 Minutes. Set aside.

    Stack (2) waffles on a Serving Plate, Top with 1/2 of the Whipped Cream, then a Layer of Cherries, Top (2) more waffles. Top with Remaining Whipped cream and another layer of Cherry topping. Top with Remaining Waffles.

    Chocolate topping: in a small saucepan, over medium heat, bring the Heavy cream to a Boil, Pour over the Choc. Chips, and whisk vigorously, until all is Smooth & chocolatey, Cool Slightly, Then Spoon over the Chocolate Waffle Cake. . . Top with a few of the Remaining Cherries, and maybe a Mint Leaf for Presentation. Definitely worth trying, . . this is So Good, & Not Overly Sweet.
