This is a great little cake to share with friends or take to a new neighbor. It's pretty easy to prepare. This is a very light and satisfying cake that's great to enjoy with coffee. You can also mix cinnamon in with the brown sugar if you prefer.

Ingredients For buttermilk company cake

  • 1 box
    white cake mix
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 stick
    melted butter
  • 5 lg
    eggs
  • 6 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    white sugar
  • BUTTERMILK-VANILLA DRIZZLE
  • 1 c
    powered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    buttermilk

How To Make buttermilk company cake

    Preheat oven to 350. Beat first three ingredients with mixer. Add eggs one at a time. Beating well

    Grease a 12 cup bundt pan with spray and sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. white sugar.

    Spoon one third of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over batter. Top with remaining batter. ( you can add 2 tsp. cinnamon to the brown sugar)

    Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until long wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack, cool for 20 minutes. Lightly pour drizzle over slightly warm cake.

    DRIZZLE: Stir together powered sugar, melted butter and vanilla. Add buttermilk once this is smooth. Extra buttermilk may be necessary to bring to desired consistency.
