Very old family recipe. So good. Not to sweet,for just a warm snack or great with coffee. I love to have it warm in the morning with my coffee.

Ingredients For blueberry buckle
- BOTTOM

1/2 cshortening

1/2 csugar

1egg well beaten

2 cflour sifted

2 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1/2 cmilk

2 cblueberries
- TOP

1/2 csugar

1/2 cflour sifted

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/4 cbutter or margarine
How To Make blueberry buckle

1bake on 350. grease 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch pan

2thoroughly cream shortening and 1/2 cup sugar; add egg and mix well.

3sift 2 cups flour,baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

4Pour into well greased pan. Sprinkle blueberries over batter.

5Combine 1/2 cup sugar,1/2 cup flour, cinnamon,and butter till crumbly; sprinkle over blueberries

6Bake 45 to 50 min, cut into squares,serve warm
