Don't remember where I got this recipe from, but there is a drink called the Black Russian and this cake takes after it. It is moist and very tasty. Always get compliments when I serve it. And it is so so easy to make.

Ingredients For black russian cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix with pudding
  • 1 box
    small box instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 c
    salad oil
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    kahlua
  • 1/4 c
    vodka

How To Make black russian cake

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 325 and use a tube pan greased and floured. (I use a bundt pan)

    Mix all ingredients on low speed until moistened. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes
  • 3
    Bake for 50 minutes (or until toothpick inserted comes out clean); COOL in pan 25 minutes.

    GLAZE (optional) 1 cup powdered sugar 3 TBS Kahlua Mix together (if too dry, add more Kahlua a little at a time) and drizzle over cooled cake
