1 box(18 ounces) butter recipe cake mix or yellow cake mix

1 tspbaking soda

2/3 csour cream

1/2 cbutter, softened

3eggs

1 cmashed, ripe bananas

1 tspvanilla
- FROSTING

1 cchopped pecans
-
1/4 cbutter
-
1 can(16 ounces) vanilla or chocolate frosting
How To Make banana cake extraordinaire

1Combine cake mix and baking soda. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on low speed for 1 minute. Beat on medium speed for 4 to 5 minutes.

2Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 inch layer cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

3Cool on wire rack and frost. FROSTING: Put pecans and butter in skillet. Cook on medium heat, stirring until pecans are toasted. Combine nut mixture and frosting in a small bowl. Cool until spreading consistency. Frost cake.
