Ingredients For aunt punkin's applesauce cake

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1-1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    sifted flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    allspice
  • 1 tsp
    ground cloves (more or less to taste)
  • 1/2 c
    mixed candied fruit
  • 1/2 c
    chopped dates
  • 1/2 c
    chopped dried figs
  • 1 c
    craisins
  • 2 c
    applesauce
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts of your choice

How To Make aunt punkin's applesauce cake

  • 1
    Cream butter and add sugar, creaming until light; add eggs. Add flour, salt, soda, and spices together with batter.

    Dredge fruits in flour. Stir in fruits, nuts and applesauce with batter.

    Bake in greased Bundt or tube pan at 325 degrees for 1-1/2 hours or until done.
