This was my mothers recipe, clipped out of the local newspaper. She would bake these ever so often when i was a kid. I rememeber having these after school with a glass of cold milk...Yum!!!

Ingredients For world's greatest cookies

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1 c
    oats, regular
  • 1 c
    cornflakes, crushed
  • 1/2 c
    coconut
  • 1 c
    pecans or walnuts
  • 3 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make world's greatest cookies

    Preheat oven to 325. Cream together butter and sugars; add egg and oil, mix well. Add oats, cornflakes, coconut, and nuts. Then add flour, soda, salt and vanilla, mix well. Form into balls and put onto an ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with a fork. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
