This recipe is from the Wilton company,I like it because you don't have to chill the dough before rolling and cutting.I like to add extra vanilla. Instead of flour, I like to use powdered sugar to roll out the dough. Dust cookies with regular sugar before baking,or decorate after baking.

Ingredients For wilton cookies

1 c butter

1 c sugar

1 large egg

2 t. baking powder

How To Make wilton cookies

1Preheat oven to 400. Cream butter and sugar with a mixer, beat in egg and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour, 1 c at a time mixing after each addition. Dough will be stiff. Blend last cup by hand. Do not chill. Divide in half. On lightly floured board, roll each half 1/8 inch thick. Dip cookie cutters in flour before each use. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets 6-7 minutes.
