Ingredients For white macadamia nut cookies

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 c
    salted butter , softened
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg at room temperature
  • 1
    egg yolk at room temperature
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    white chocolate chips

How To Make white macadamia nut cookies

    Preheat oven to 325 F
  • 2
    Mix the flour and baking soda in a bowl and set aside. With an electric mixer or stand mixer with paddle attachment,cream the butter and sugars together.

    Add the egg,egg yolk and vanilla and mix well . Gradually add the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.( may take a couple of min of stirring)Fold in the white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Do not over mix the dough at any point in this process.

    Chill dough for at least 30 min. in the fridge. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. Press a few more white chocolate chips and macadamia nut pieces onto the tops for decoration. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly browned. The centers should appear very soft and puppy. Let cool on a wire rack completely and enjoy.

    Make sure to keep dough cold at all times while the batches are baking. I kept mine in the refrigerator in between batches.
