Mom got this recipe off of the Wheatena box "way back when." You can still find Wheatena in some stores. But may be hard to find. Good Luck.

Ingredients For wheatena cookies

1 cshortening (mom says butter or margarine works well too)

1 csugar

1egg
-
2 Tbspmilk

1 tspvanilla extract

1 1/2 call purpose flour

2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1/2 cuncooked wheatena
How To Make wheatena cookies

1Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg (beaten well), milk, and vanilla.

2Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add Wheatena. Mix.

3Combine the two mixtures.

4Drop by the spoonful onto your cookie sheet (I use aluminum foil). Bake at 375 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
