This is a simple and delicious tea cake recipe that I have used for many years. My family loves these little tea cakes.

Ingredients For verna's tea cakes

1 cbutter

2 cwhite sugar

2eggs

3 1/2 cself rising flour

1 tspvanilla flavoring

1/2 tspcinnamon, ground (may add a little more)
How To Make verna's tea cakes

1Cream the butter and sugar. Add the flour a little at a time. Add the eggs that are slightly beaten. Mix in flavoring. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.

2For Christmas, you may want to put a red or green candied cherry in the center before cooking and after cooking and cooling, you could dust with powdered sugar.
