This easy and tasty recipe came from our church cookbook dated 1982. Both kids and adults love these candy-like cookie bars. They often appear at our Annual Holiday Bazaar and always sell out.

Ingredients For unbaked peanut butter cookie bars

12 cslightly crushed cornflakes

1 jar(16 ounces) dry roasted peanuts

1 1/2 ccorn syrup, light

1 csugar

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 cpeanut butter
How To Make unbaked peanut butter cookie bars

1Stir together slightly crushed cornflakes and peanuts in a large bowl. Set aside. In a saucepan combine corn syrup, and sugars. Bring to a boil and boil fully for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. Pour over cornflake mixture and mix gently until everything is coated.

2Press mixture into a buttered 15 by 10 inch pan. Cool and cut into 24 bars.
