1 cgranulated sugar

1 cpacked brown sugar

1 cchunky peanut butter
-
1/2 cshortening
-
1/2 cbutter or margarine, softened

2 tspvanilla extract

2eggs

2 call-purpose flour

1/2 coats, quick cooking or old-fashioned

1 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspbaking soda

3 ctrail mix (preferred w/raisins, m&m's, cashews)
How To Make trail mix monster cookies

1Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, beat sugars, peanut butter, shortening, butter or margarine, vanilla and eggs -- mix until creamy. Stir in flour, oats, baking powder and baking soda and mix thoroughly. Stir in trail mix.

2Dough is not tacky, so scoop up some dough in the palm of your hand and form into a ball -- as big as you wish. Place dough ball on ungreased cookie sheet and smash down with palm of your hand.

3Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool 2 minutes before taking off cookie sheet (cool longer the bigger they are); remove and cool completely on wire rack.
