Ingredients For toffee squares

4 1/2 cquick oats, uncooked

1 cdark brown sugar, packed

1 1/2 stickbutter, melted

1/2 ccorn syrup

1 Tbspvanilla

1/2 tspsalt

12 ozsemi-sweet chocolate chips

2/3 cnuts, chopped
How To Make toffee squares

1Preheat oven 400. Grease 10x15 jelly roll pan.

2In a bowl add oats, brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt; stir until mixed.

3Press oat mixture into prepared pan; use the back of a spoon to press the mixture. Bake 18-20 minutes, or until browned.

4Remove from oven; spread the chocolate chips on top of the hot mixture. After a few minutes when chocolate is melting, use a knife to spread the melted chocolate bits evenly. Sprinkle nuts over the top of the chocolate. Cool completely. Cut into squares or bars.
