How To Make thumbprints, joann's

    1/4 c crisco 1/4 c butter 1/4 c brown sugar 1 egg yolk (save white) 1/2 tsp vanilla Mix above together.

    Add: 1 c flour, sifted 1/4 tsp salt

    Roll into 1" balls, dip into slightly beaten egg white. Roll in walnuts (chopped). Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

    Bake 5 min. Remove and press thumb into middle of cookies. Bake 8 min more.

    Cool. Frost or fill.
