Ingredients For "the great pumpkin" bars

1 1/2 cgranulated sugar

3/4 cveg. oil

3eggs

15 ozcan pumpkin

1 1/2 cflour
-
1 1/2 tspbaking powder

3/4 tspbaking soda
-
2 1/2 tspcinnamon, ground

3/4 tspsalt
- FROSTING
-
4 ozcream cheese (softened)
-
1/2 stickreal butter
-
1 1/2 tspvanilla
-
2 1/2 cpowder sugar
How To Make "the great pumpkin" bars

1Set oven at 350 degrees F.

2In mixer bowl cream together granulated sugar and veg. oil Beat eggs into creamed mixture, next add the can of pumpkin.

3sift together flour,baking powder ,baking soda cinnamon and salt . add this to the pumpkin mixture . mix until all of the dry ingredients are mixed into the pumpkin mixture.

4Put the batter into a 13x9x2 inch greased and floured pan . bake for 25 minutes . Bake 25 minutes or until a tooth pick stuck into the middle comes out clean or when touched it springs back

5Cool cake on rack . While it is cooling prepare the frosting.

6mix together Softened cream cheese , the 1/2 stick butter (softened),vanilla , 2 1/2 cups cups powder sugar (add a little at a time , If added all at one time it makes a mess on your counter top)Mix till all in ingredients are incorporated and it is creamy and spreadable. If it needs a little more liquid to make it easilly spreadable add a little milk a teaspoon at a time . Frost the cooled cake and serve.
