I made these with my grandchildren this Christmas and we added frosting and Christmas sprinkles and they all declared them THE BEST! That's why I call them" The best" cookies!!

    unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 c
    packed, light brown sugar
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • pinch
    salt
  • 1 c
    dried cranberries
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped fine
  • 1/2 c
    white chocolate chips

How To Make the best cranberrry-chocolate oatmeal cookies

    Heat oven to 350. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. In lg bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

    In another lg bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda and a pinch of salt. Add 1/2 cup dry mix to butter mix, mix well. Add remaining dry mix to butter mix and mix well.

    Stir in dried cranberries, walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by tablespoon onto baking sheets, about 3" apart. Bake about 10 mins, or until light golden brown. I slightly melt a little cream cheese frosting in the microwave and drizzle the cookies, but they're just as great without the frosting.
