Ingredients For texas neiman marcus bars

  • FIRST LAYER:
  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 2
    eggs
  • SECOND LAYER:
  • 16 oz
    powdered sugar
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 c
    coconut
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • enough powdered sugar to sprinkle over top

How To Make texas neiman marcus bars

    Preheat oven to 350. Mix together first layer and put in 9 x 13 greased & floured pan.

    Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, coconut, eggs and vanilla together and spread over first mixture. Bake 10 minutes then sprinkle pecans on top and bake 30 additional minutes.

    Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar over top while still warm.

    VARIATION: use 1 box of butter fudge cake mix rather than yellow if you prefer.
