tena's no bake bars

This is a recipe that is filed in my brain. We have made these bars so many times I can't even begin to guess. This recipe has made time with family and friends memorable. Just to see the look on their face the first time they bite into one of the bars. Be careful they are addictive.

Ingredients For tena's no bake bars

2 csugar

1 stickbutter
-
1/4 ccocoa

1/2 cmilk

1 tspvanilla

3 cquick oatmeal (3 minute)

3/4 ccreamy peanut butter
How To Make tena's no bake bars

1In a microwave proof mixing bowl combine the first four ingredients. Cook 2 minutes and take out of microwave and stir. Cook 2 more minutes and take out and stir. Once mixture starts to boil let boil for 1 minute. Take out add vanilla and peanut butter and stir. Then add oatmeal and stir. Now you can either drop on waxed paper to make cookies or pour in a buttered 9 x 13 pan to make bars. I have even used the 9" square pan. My family likes them thicker, just takes a little more time to set up.
