This recipe is from my Step Great Grandma-she made them for us many years-then gave my Grandma the recipe-then Grandma gave it to Mama-then on to me.

Ingredients For sugar cookies

c10 cups of flour-self rising

c2 cups of butter

c3 cups of sugar

6 eggs

Tbsp4 tablespoons of good vanilla or half lemon
How To Make sugar cookies

1Melt Butter
-
2Mix with sugar until creamy
-
3Add eggs one at a time - mix well
-
4Add flavoring
-
5Sift flour into bowl-add the liquid -a mix with a large spoon until most of the flour is used
-
6Turn out onto a large plate and refrigerate for a few minutes
-
7Roll out on floured cloth and cup with cutter in size desired
-
8Bake at 350-400 (depends on your oven) for about 10 minutes
-
9Put on racks to cool
-
10Reroll scrapes seperate and cut out-This will take several rollings to use all the dough-Enjoy and think of the History
