Ingredients For spiced mandarin orange cream cheese cookies

1/2 cbutter, room temperature

4 ozcream cheese, room temperature

3/4 cgranulated sugar

3/4 cbrown sugar, lightly packed

1/4 corange liqueur

1 lgegg
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspbaking powder

3/4 tspground ginger
-
1/2 tspcinnamon, ground

2 1/2 call-purpose flour
-
15 ozcan of mandarin oranges, chopped and well drained

1 cwalnut pieces
How To Make spiced mandarin orange cream cheese cookies

1Drain the Mandarin oranges. Chop them and drain again.

2Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the butter, cream cheese, both sugars, the orange liqueur, and the egg in a large mixing bowl.

3In a separate bowl, sift together the salt, baking soda, baking powder, and flour. To this dry mix, add the Ginger and Cinnamon.

4Gradually blend the dry mixture into the creamed mixture. Fold in the Mandarin oranges and the walnut pieces.

5Drop by teaspoons onto parchment lined cookie sheets. Do not crowd them. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes. Remove cookies to rack for cooling.
