'Tis the season for holiday cookie recipes! These spiced cookies have a touch of cocoa, and smell just like home to me. This makes a nice big batch, so it's okay to sneak a few before sharing them with the family :)

Ingredients For spiced cocoa cookies

1 1/4 ccrisco shortening

1 1/2 csugar

3eggs
-
1 cmilk
-
1 tspvanilla

5 cflour
-
5 tspbaking powder

1 Tbspcinnamon
-
1 Tbspnutmeg
-
1 Tbspall spice
-
3/4 cpowdered cocoa

1 csemi-sweet chocolate chips
-
powdered sugar
How To Make spiced cocoa cookies

1Cream shortening and sugar.

2Add eggs (one at a time). Then add milk and vanilla.

3Add dry ingredients and spices. Mix well.

4Add your chocolate chips.

5Form your dough into small balls, (I used a 2 tablespoon coffee scoop)and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

6Bake at 350 for 14 - 16 minutes.

7Remove your cookies from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before adding a sprinkling of powdered sugar!
