This is a really good old fashioned tasting cookie that I hope you'll try and add it to your holiday cookie trays.

Ingredients For soft molasses cookies

3/4 cshortening

3/4 cbrown sugar

2eggs

3/4 cmolasses

3/4 csour cream

2 1/4 call-purpose flour

2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspcinnamon

1 1/2 tspginger (optional)
How To Make soft molasses cookies

1Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add the well beaten eggs,molasses,and sour cream and stir the mixture until it is smooth.

2Mix together the dry ingredients and add this mixture gradually to the first. Chill the dough for about an hour, then drop it by spoonfuls (I use a small ice cream scoop) on a greased baking sheet.

3Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
