These are awesome...and it's true they match up to their name. I found this recipe a long time ago. It makes a lot and I often freeze the dough to use for bar cookies or make specialty cookies.

Ingredients For soft & chewy chocolate chip cookies

1 1/4 csugar

1 1/4 cbrown sugar

1 1/2 cbutter, softened

2 tspvanilla extract

3eggs
-
4 1/4 cflour
-
2 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspsalt

2-4 cchocolate chips
How To Make soft & chewy chocolate chip cookies

1Preheat oven at 375F, In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter; beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.

2Drop dough by spoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

3Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute. Remove from pan and cool on racks.
