I Have Made These Cookie For Well Over 50 Years,I Love Them So Do All The Family,So Will Yours ! Travis Cody Can Eat All Of These By His Self, So Make Double The Recipe. Love You Son ! Mom

Ingredients For snickerdoodles

  • 1 c
    soft shortining
  • 1 &1/2 c
    plus 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 & 3/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 2 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 md
    eggs

How To Make snickerdoodles

  • 1
    blend together shortening,1 & 1/2 cup sugar & egg.

    sift together flour cream of tartat,soda & salt.
  • 3
    add to creamed mixture.stir till well mixed.
  • 4
    roll dough into balls the size of walnuts.
  • 5
    ust the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the cinnamon mixed in a small bowl to roll the the balls in.

    on a ungreased cookie sheet place the balls 2 inches apart or more.

    in a preheated oven bake at 400* oven for8-10 min.

    remove to cool.
