Ingredients For snickerdoodles

1 cbutter or shortening (i prefer butter)

1-1/2 csugar

2eggs
-
2-3/4 csifted flour

2 tspcream of tarter (the key ingredient i feel)

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspvanilla
- MIXTURE

1 Tbspsugar

1 Tbspcinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

1Mix together butter (shortening), sugar, vanilla and eggs.

2Put flour, cream of tarter, baking soda & salt together and add to the above cream mixture. Let dough sit in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.

3Mix together the cinnamon and sugar on a flat pie pan or quiche dish. Take cookie dough from refrigerator and make into teaspoon size balls. Roll the balls in the cinnamon & sugar mixture and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
