Ingredients For snickerdoodles

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 csugar

1egg
-
1/2 tspvanilla

1/4 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspcream of tartar

1/8 tspsalt

1 1/2 cflour

2 Tbspsugar

1 tspcinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

1In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter on high for 30 seconds, with an electric mixer.

2Beat in the sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Beat until thoroughly combined.

3Mix in the flour. If you use a wooden spoon in conjunction with the electric mixer it will make the dough come together quickly and easily.

4Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough for 1 hour.

5Preheat oven to 375°. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.

6Remove the dough from the refrigerator and shape the dough into 1 inch balls.

7Roll the dough balls in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.

8Place balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

9Bake at 375° for 10-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.

10Cool cookies on cooling rack.
