These cookie bars will satisfy even the pickiest eater who doesn't like vegetables- no need to tell them they are made with green beans. Great made with other cooked veggies too! Try with cooked beets- makes red bars for Valentines Day.

Ingredients For sneaky cookie bars

1 1/4 cwhole wheat flour

1/3 cnon fat dry milk powder

1/2 choney
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1/2 tspeach nutmeg, cloves and salt

1 lgegg
-
1/2 ceach vegetable oil and applesauce
-
2 ccooked green or yellow wax beans (16 oz. can of either one))
-
3/4 cchopped walnuts
-
1/2 ccurrants, or raisins or cranberries
-
2 Tbsppowdered sugar
How To Make sneaky cookie bars

1Sift together the first 8 ingredients in mixing bowl until blended. Place egg, oil, applesauce and beans in blender; blend until smooth. Pour over dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into greased 8x12 inch pan. Bake at 350^ for 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when slightly warm. Cut into bars. --- Note: If desired make a thin powdered sugar and lemon icing and drizzle over top. (I use this method).
