This is one of my favorite ways to make cookies. Fun, simple, & easy!! Without all the fuss! But the reason it is my favorite....my son, Lee and I made them together when he was growing up and now I am making them with his daughter, my granddaughter, Lily. Memories shared....a Wonderful thing!

2If making these for Christmas I use green and red sugar crystals. If making for a Fall party I use Oatmeal cookies (not the frosted ones) and frost with orange frosting. Then I decorate these any way I want. Just remember you can change up the frosting and decorate the way you want. But I have found out that the store bought sugar cookies or oatmeal cookies work best when making Shortcut Cookies.
