Ingredients For shamrock cookies

  • 1 c
    shortening(half butter or margarine)
  • 1 c
    sifted,confectioner's sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1-2 tsp
    vanilla extract or peppermint
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    green food coloring
  • green decorative sprinkles

How To Make shamrock cookies

    heat oven 375' mix shortening,sugar,egg,flavoring
  • 2
    measure flour,salt,food coloring mix
  • 3
    to shape make 3 balls(1/4 tsp.) and a stem press with finger flatten complete 1 at a time to prevent dry and cracking bake 9 mins. makes 9 dozen don't forget to sprinkle with decorative sprinkles!
