Ingredients For scotch shortbread cookies

  • 1 lb
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 5 c
    all purpose flour

How To Make scotch shortbread cookies

    Heat oven to 350 degrees.

    Cream butter and sugar. Work in flour.
  • 3
    If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tbsp. soft butter.

    In a greased cookie sheet, pat out all of the dough mixture. Prick with a fork.

    Bake 20 to 30 minutes (until edges are browning).

    Cool. cut into 1 inch squares to serve.
