This was my great grandmother Nita's recipe (born 1892) and her mothers before her/ 5th generation recipe. Simple Ingredients and easy instructions for over 100 years.

Ingredients For scotch shortbread cookies

1 cbutter

2 cap flour

1/2 csugar

1 pinchkosher salt
How To Make scotch shortbread cookies

1Cream Butter, adding sugar gradually

2Stir in flour, mix with hands, chill for 1/2 hour

3Roll out about 1/4 inch thing and cut into shapes. Prick with fork. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 300 degree oven for 25 to 27 minutes- or until edges of shortbread are slightly brown.
