santas snow balls.. (cookies)
(1 rating)
I love my Bath Tub Santa, and these cookies.! They are very simular to a Russian Tea Cake or a Mexican Wedding Cookie. My recipe uses whole wheat flour, and almond flavoring. This gives them an wonderful different taste. Maybe the use of anise extract would an be a nice flavor change also. I am sure Santa would approve. When you wind santa up ,his arm goes up and down, like he is scrubbing himself!...LOL nancy...12/15/12

1Beat butter till creamy, in a large bowl. Gradually beat in powdered sugar, salt, almond flavoring, and flour. Add the oats and stir. *NOTE: Old fashioned oats or quick oats can be used. I think there is a little bit more flavor with the old time oats.THey are not ground up like the instant oats are.
