Ingredients For salted caramel chocolate chip cookies

  • 2 1/4 c
    cake flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 stick
    unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2
    eggs at room temperature
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 24 oz
    jumbo semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 30
    caramels (cut into 4 pieces)
  • 6 oz
    chopped walnuts (if desired)
  • coarse sea salt

How To Make salted caramel chocolate chip cookies

    Sift together Cake flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt Use a mixer and cream butter, brown sugar and sugar together until fluffy Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time

    Reduce speed to low and add dry ingredients and mix until just combined Stir in chocolate chips, caramels and walnuts ( I put all in a big bowl and mix together before adding to the batter) Press plastic wrap onto the dough in the bowl and refrigerate for an hour

    Pre heat oven to 350 Line a baking pan with parchment paper Roll dough into golf ball size pieces Press the top of the ball down just a little and sprinkle lightly with sea salt and bake for 10-15 minutes
