Mom made lots of Honey Cookies since Dad kept bees and honey was always in good supply at our house. I added rosemary to this old recipe and i love it this way now.

Ingredients For rosemary honey cookies

  • 3/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg

How To Make rosemary honey cookies

  • 1
    In a bowl, cream shortening, butter and sugar. Beat in egg, honey and lemon juice. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: about 4 dozen.
