Ingredients For ricebran/flaxseed sugar cookies

  • 1 c
    rice bran
  • 1/2 c
    ground flax seed
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 11/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, unsalted
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    walnut halves
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, grated

How To Make ricebran/flaxseed sugar cookies

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift rice bran, ground flaxseeds, flour,and baking powder together. Set aside. Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs and vanilla, coconut . Beat until well blended. Stir in rice bran mixture,then walnuts. Roll dough into small balls. Flatten on cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven, rest for 1 minute then transfer to cooling rack.
