Made these the first time for a co-worker of my husband who asked him if I would make them. To my surprise they were really good. Nice around Thanksgiving when you have an extra can of pumpkin you want to use up.

2 csifted flour

1 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspsalt

1egg

1 tspvanilla

1 cbutter or margarine

1 csugar

1 ccooked or canned pumpkin (never tried cooked)

1/2 cwalnuts chopped

1/2 cdates or raisins chopped (i use raisins)

3 Tbspbutter

1/2 cbrown sugar

1 cconfectioners sugar

4 Tbspmilk

3/4 tspvanilla
How To Make pumpkin cookies w/frosting

1Sift flour and baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Cream butter and sugar together. Add pumpkin and egg, beat well. Add flour mix all at once. Stir to obtain a smooth batter, add nut, fruits and vanilla.

2Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.

3FROSTING: Combine butter, milk and brown sugar in saucepan. Heat to boiling and boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Stir in confectioners sugar and vanilla. Best when frosted.
