This is a super easy and VERY tasty cookie! An absolute favorite around our house. Especially through the holiday season. But I do make them all through the year as well.

Ingredients For pumpkin cookies

  • 1/2 c
    crisco
  • 1 stick
    butter, softened (margarine)
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    pumpkin (canned or fresh)
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • MIX WELL, THEN ADD
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • MIX WELL, THEN ADD
  • 2 c
    flour

How To Make pumpkin cookies

    I always have to triple this recipe when I make it, and it triples with no problem! after all mixed together, the dough is kinda soft, not really stiff like some cookies. Drop by the spoonful on a cookie sheet. Bake for about 15 min at 375° Cookies are "bread like" when they are done. wonderful served warm and even with a little butter on them!! ENJOY! This is a family favorite of ours. Hope you enjoy it too!
