These cookies are a favorite at my house!!! They have just the right mix of spices and look pretty on a plate for friends and neighbors...this recipe makes plenty to have some to share and are great for bake sales, potlucks or picnics.

Ingredients For pumpkin chocolate chip cookies

  • 1 c
    shortening
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1
    large can pumpkin
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips
  • 5 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 tsp
    cloves
  • 2 tsp
    allspice, ground

How To Make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Beat well.

    Mix rest of ingredients in a separate bowl. Add mixtures together. Make sure it is mixed really well.

    Drop by tablespoons on cookie sheets. Bake for 15 min.
