this recipe was from when I was young my card doesn't have mins. to bake on it ,I haven't made them since I was little I don't remember what they taste like

Ingredients For poor man's cookie's

  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    cloves
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • powdered sugar( ice with while hot)

How To Make poor man's cookie's

    mix raisins shortening water boil slowly 20 mins. let cool
  • 2
    mix flour,soda,cinnamon,cloves,allspice sugar add 1egg and cooled raisin mixture bake on cookie sheet 375' ? mins
  • 3
    ice with powdered sugar while hot. let cool
