Ingredients For pecan tartlets

  • 3 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2
    whole eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1 or 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt

How To Make pecan tartlets

  • 1
    To make shells, beat cheese and butter together until creamy. Cut in flour as for pastry. Form mixture into 48 1-inch balls, making them all the same size. Place 1 ball into each section of miniature muffin tins. Press the balls of dough evenly with your fingers to complete cover the bottom and sides of each cup in the tin.

    Combine all filling ingredients together thoroughly. Spoon filling into shells leaving a little head room to allow for expansion as they bake. Bake at 350F for about 25 minutes. Cool in pans for 5 minutes. Remove carefully; a sharp knife is beneficial here.
