These were my grandfather's favorite cookies. Melt in your mouth and not too sweet!

Ingredients For pecan puffs

  • 1 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 2/3 c
    sugar
  • 2 1/4 c
    chopped pecans
  • 3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • FROSTING
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make pecan puffs

  • 1
    Mix all cookie ingredients thoroughly. Roll into "ping pong" sized balls and place on cookie sheet about 2 in apart. Flatten slightly with thumb. Bake at 350 deg for approximately 7-10 mins. Watch closely to not burn the bottoms. Let cool completely.

    Cream together all frosting ingredients. Frost each cookie and Enjoy! Makes 4 dozen.
